This exhibition presents twelve new paintings which reference the different epochs and shifts from lunar to solar worship throughout history.

Artist Zach Brown’s paintings combine traditional techniques and materials with formal design combining the illusion of representational painting against the reality of the material and the painting as an object.

When making these works, Brown was deeply inspired by a variety of ancient Greek mysteries and the early writings of the Gnostics — people from around 100 CE who emphasized personal spiritual knowledge over traditional religious doctrines.
