Special family activities at the center today focus on women in space.

From female astronauts at the International Space Station to engineers and scientists on the ground, America’s space program wouldn’t be where it is today without the incredible contributions of incredible women.

Presented in conjunction with the exhibition, “Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission,” which features dozens of artifacts from the flight that brought the first humans to the moon in 1969. “Destination Moon” also includes an interactive three-dimensional tour and learn how Pittsburgh companies and innovators.
