The History Center serves as the northeast host for the national tour of this blockbuster exhibition.

“Apollo 11” was the designation given to the flight that brought the first humans to Earth’s only natural satellite. Two Americans stepped on the moon’s surface on July 21, 1969

Along with dozens of artifacts from the Apollo 11 mission, the exhibition’s centerpiece is the Command Module Columbia — the only portion of the historic spacecraft to complete the first mission to land a man on the moon and safely return him to Earth.

“Destination Moon” also includes an interactive three-dimensional tour and learn how Pittsburgh companies and innovators. For more information, call (412) 454-6000.
