During this one-day workshop, you will learn how to fire and maintain an electric kiln.
A kiln is insulated oven-like chamber the produces temperatures sufficient to finish creating objects created from clay. Kilns have been used for thousands of years and can be powered by burning wood, coal, gas or electricity.
Students will learn numerous firing programs that best accommodate the particular ware they are firing in their kilns.
