Acclaimed singer/songwriter Ellis Paul (the stage name of Paul Plissey) has carved out a lengthy and prolific career as a master folk storyteller since first appearing on stage in 1987.
Ellis is considered a key figure in what has become known as the Boston school of songwriting — a literate, provocative and urbanely romantic folk-pop style that helped ignite the folk revival of the 1990s.
