Inventive French choreographer and director Aurélien Bory blends elements of dance, music, magic and circus to craft a stunning piece of theater.

The work finds inspiration from the 1974 essay Espèces d’espaces penned by French writer Georges Perec (1936-1982). Orphaned at a tender age following the death of his father in war and his mother’s deportation to a Nazi death camp, Perec’s essay presents a jigsaw puzzle of faded memories, allusions, voids and absences.

Presented as part of the Pittsburgh International Festival of Firsts, a program of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust that features exhibits and performances making their North American, United States or even World debut.
