Support this outdoor museum while learning why rum was an essential ration for the troops who built the Forbes Road and Fort Ligonier.

Rum is an alcoholic beverage that has been produced since at least the 1300’s (possibly much earlier). It is made by fermenting sugarcane molasses with yeast and water and then distilled. Rum is most commonly associated with the island peoples of the Caribbean Sea.

Produced by the award-winning Pittsburgh-based Wigle Whiskey, Fort Ligonier’s exclusive Forbes Road Rum on sale today only while supplies last. The beautifully labeled bottles were inspired by a stunning stained-glass window that depicts General John Forbes at the entrance to the Fort Ligonier Center for History Education.

Proceeds from rum sales benefit Fort Ligonier’s educational programming and preservation projects.
