This cool and controversial 1972 animated film is a defiantly grown-up cartoon that satires the activist college atmosphere of the era.
At the center of the story is a disillusioned cat and college student named Fritz. This frisky feline and his friends reside in 1960’s New York City. Seeking adventure, Fritz leaves school as quickly drawn into the chaotic world of hippies, free love and fringe politics.
The film cleverly uses the glib, womanizing and conniving Fritz to explore issues of racism, sex and the often foolishness of youth.
