Trade your common ale for a true taste of nobility in this cocktail class inspired by A Game of Thrones.
First published in 1996, A Game of Thrones (and its sequels) is a fantasy sage created by contemporary author George R. R. Martin. It follows the personal and political intrigue among nations on an Earth-like world. The novels were later adapted into a popular cable television series that ran from 2011 to 2019.
The cocktail is a mixed alcoholic drink that first appeared around 1800 (although its origin may be much earlier). There are various types of cocktails, based on the number and kind of ingredients (alcohol and non-alcohol) added. Because a cocktail is a “diluted” drink, many historians believe that the word originated with the phrase “cocktailed horse.” The phrase refers to the custom of docking tails of horses that were not thoroughbred.
