Create a cute, cozy gingerbread house out of clay.

Human beings appear to have been making their own ceramics for at least 26,000 years by subjecting clay and silica to intense heat to fuse and form ceramic materials. These materials have been used to create both practical and artistic items. The word “ceramic” comes from a Greek word meaning “of pottery.”

Learn to sculpt a gingerbread house out of toasty brown clay, and form colorful candy-themed decorations using various clay and surface design techniques.

A second session will be held from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
