Robin Williams earned an Academy Award nomination for his high-energy performance in this 1987 film as army radio disc jockey Adrian Cronauer (1938-2018).

Set in 1965 during the Vietnam War (1955-1975), Adrian widely funny show thrills his fellow soldiers who find his irreverent humor a welcome escape from the horrors they face daily. However, many of his superiors find the show to be disrespectful and unacceptable.

Visitors will have a chance to explore the center’s current exhibit on the Vietnam War and participate in an interesting discussion.

The evening is “pay what you wish,” which means admission comes at whatever cost you’re willing and able to pay. Refreshments will be available for sale, and the History Center will close to the public at the conclusion of the film screening.
