Based on a best-selling book, this critically acclaimed 1990 was inspired by the true story of mob member and federal informant Henry Hill Jr. (1943-2012).
Noted actor Ray Liotta portrays Hill in a break-out performance. The film follows Hill as he climbs the ranks in the violent world engineered by crime boss Gaetano “Tommy” Lucchese (1899-1967) and his successors. Hill eventually risked his life and that of his family by becoming an informant for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The impressive cast also includes Robert DiNero, Joe Pesci, Lorraine Bracco, Paul Sorvino and Samuel L. Jackson.
