Surprising, playful and provocative, this exhibition highlights a unique selection of non-objective works by members of Group A.
Begun with name The Abstract Group in 1944, Group A provides its members with exhibition opportunities and an environment that fosters dialogue among creative individuals. The organization changed its name to Group A in 1969.
Using color, shape, size, scale and (in some cases) the process itself the featured artists share a language — both deeply personal and universal — grounded in the abstract.
The exhibit is curated by Kate Lydon, who is the Director of Exhibitions at nonprofit Contemporary Craft arts organization.
