The hour-long tour will be led by a docent and focus on the museum’s “Pittsburgh: A Tradition of Innovation” exhibition.

The center’s flagship permanent exhibition “Pittsburgh: A Tradition of Innovation” explores the stories of how Western Pennsylvania innovators and their groundbreaking achievements have impacted our society. It features rare artifacts, immersive spaces, hands-on activities, touch screen interactives and audio-visual displays.

From the rise of the iron and steel industry to world-changing innovations from Westinghouse, Frick, and Carnegie, Pittsburgh’s rise to industrial dominance in the late 18th and early 19th centuries shaped our region and impacted the world.
