Youth ages 8 to 11 are invited to a workshop where they can discover, imagine and create as inspired by “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.”

Produced in Pittsburgh, “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” (1968-2001) was a children’s educational television program distributed to public TV stations by the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS). The series was created and hosted by musician, puppeteer and minister Fred Rogers (1928-2003). The show’s gentle pace and kindly characters were ideally suited to teach kids ages 2 to 5 a variety of subjects.

This workshop includes a visit to the stage set of his pioneering television show on display at the History Center.
