Don your poshest apparel to celebrate the opening of “Kim Gordon: Lo-Fi Glamour.”

Celebrated for her work as a founding member of the experimental post-punk band Sonic Youth (1981-2011), Kim Gordon is a multi-disciplinary artist and thinker who has worked in fashion, publishing, film and music. In the 1980’s, it was through art that she found music, coming to Sonic Youth sideways from an early interest in art, aesthetics and performance.

Accompanied by collaborators Bill Nace, Steve Gunn and John Truscinski, Kim Gordon will premiere a partially improvised continual soundtrack for Warhol’s hour-long 1963  film “Kiss”, that captures close-ups of fourteen couples kissing.

This is an age 21+ event.
