The impressive singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Leyla McCalla performs original works deeply influenced by traditional Creole, Cajun and Haitian music, as well as by American jazz and folk.

A daughter of Haitian immigrants, Leyla studied cello performance and chamber music at New York University before moving to New Orleans where she became captivated by Louisiana Creole music and culture.

She sings earthy, elegant, soulful and witty compositions in French, Haitian Creole and English

This all-ages concert is presented by the Andy Warhol Museum. It is the largest museum in the United States dedicated to a single artist, Pittsburgh native Andy Warhol (1928-1987), and is a component of the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh.
