Lithium is a powerful tribute act honoring the music of Nirvana.
The rock band Nirvana (1987-1994) developed a sound that relied on dynamic contrasts, often between quiet verses and loud, heavy choruses. They were among the pioneers of the grunge music phenomenon of the 1990’s that originated in Seattle.
The tribute act takes its name from that of a 1991 Nirvana song written by the band’s co-founder Kurt Cobain (1967-1994).
