The White Whale returns to in-person events by celebrating the release of local poet and professor M. Soledad Caballero’s collection, I Was a Bell.
M. Soledad Caballero is Professor of English and co-chair of the Women’s Gender & Sexuality Studies Program at Allegheny College. Her triumphant I Was a Bell retraces the story of Caballero’s family leaving Chile (then still under dictatorship) to 1980s Oklahoma and the trauma of exile.
Also sharing their works tonight are poets Celeste Gainey, Sarah Williams-Devereux and Cameron Barnett. Some attendance related to the COVID-19 pandemic may be in place. For more information, call (412) 224-2847.
