Everyone is welcome to this informal game of mahjong in the temple’s Sister Room.

Mahjong is a tile game that first appeared in 19th century China. Four players use a set of 144 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols. Each player begins with 13 tiles. Players draw and discard tiles in turns until the winner completes a legal hand using the 14th drawn tile to form four sets and a pair. There are almost unlimited variations possible.
