Experience and anticipate the movement and dripping sap from Boyce’s sweet trees and looking at the arbors’ beautiful detailed components.

Established in 1963, Boyce Park is a county public park featuring the only downhill skiing and snowtubing hills available in Allegheny County. The park is named in honor of William D. Boyce (1858-1929), who founded the youth organization Boy Scouts of America and was born nearby.

Learn past (Native American and pioneer techniques) as well as present modern methods including the needed equipment for tapping, collecting, cooking and more! A short walk through the historical, memorial arboretum will help participants identify the many unique features of the trees, their gifts and stories.
