In this week long exploration of making, students age 4 to 6 will explore the 5 major STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) areas.
The Matt’s Makers Space program is named in honor of Matt Conover (1990-2002), a child who was always interested in hands-on learning and lost a battle with cancer.
Students will engage with one another in a variety of activities and projects including making “upcycled” robots, solar ovens, electric circuits and air powered vehicles while they become familiar with the engineering design process under the guidance of a certified elementary teacher.
