Tea is an aromatic hot beverage made by combining hot water with the cured leaves of certain evergreen shrubs. Tea originated in southwest China sometime after 1600 BCE and was initially used medicinally. Over time, a wide range of variations have been developed and tea drinking is often a social occasion.
A second seating is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Presented by Blue Monkey Tea, a shop owned by Pittsburgh tea expert Margaret Harris.
