The former house band of the Nied’s Hotel continues the traditions of one of Pittsburgh’s most legendary stages.
The Nied’s Hotel was established in 1941 as a boarding house and local watering hole. Owned continuously by the same family, the hotel evolved into a restaurant and music venue. Many music legends have passed through Nied’s doors (an amphitheatre was added in later years). The hotel closed its doors for the last time on December 30, 2019.
Pittsburgh singer John Vento originated the band in 2003 with a solo recording project dedicated to the Neid’s Hotel. That project evolved into the current hardworking band which delivers muscular, blue collar rock music in a high energy, entertaining and audience-engaging concert.
