Come dressed in your best macabre couture to dive deep into Andy Warhol’s (1928-1987) darker side for a night of eerie revelry
Born Andrew Warhola, the artist was a leading figure in the pop art movement of the 1950s and 1960s. In his “Death & Disaster” series, Warhol explored the impact of images taken out of a journalistic context and framed, through repetition, as works of art. Some of the photographs that Warhol chose as source images for this series depict horrific scenes.
The evening includes tarot readings, music and spooky fun. Proceeds benefit the museum.
