Overkill formed in 1980 and is considered one of the most successful East Coast thrash metal bands. Vocalist Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth and bassist D. D. Verni keep alive Overkill’s reputation for music with a brutal, pounding speed and technique.
The band’s name comes from title of a 1979 album by groundbreaking English band Motorhead (1975-2015).
