This acclaimed 1982 British film is a brilliant blend of live-action and animation.
Pink Floyd (1965-1995) was a psychedelic rock band from England noted for their extended compositions, sonic experimentation, philosophical lyrics and elaborate live shows. Their best known work is the groundbreaking 1979 album “The Wall”. Through its songs, the album tells of a jaded rock star whose eventual self-imposed isolation from society forms a figurative wall.
The film adaptation features little dialogue and instead is driven by the music from the album throughout. It frequently utilizes both visual and auditory symbols throughout its runtime.
