US Steel Building (USX Tower)

First presented in 1999, the Pittsburgh Crèche is a beautifully detailed, three-dimension representation of the birth of Jesus Christ (4BCE – 30CE) as described in the Bible.

“Crèche” is a French word meaning manger or crib. This display is a replica of the internationally famous scene at Saint Peter’s Basilica in Rome.

The crèche is sponsored by the area’s ecumenical Christian Leadership Fellowship, which represents various denominations.
