Experience an unforgettable evening of live jazz hosted by Marty Ashby to commemorate the 1967 formation of America’s first professionally staffed mobile paramedics: the Freedom House Ambulance Service in the city’s predominately African American Hill District neighborhood.
The paramedic training and ambulance design standards pioneered in the Freedom House Ambulance Service would set the standard for emergency care both nationally and internationally.
This special evening also features historic video clips and images. Presented by Prime Stage Theatre, whose mission is to entertain, inspire and enrich youth through professional theatre by bringing literature to life.
