The fourth annual “Poetry Unplugged” is a night of spoken word and music featuring artists from around the country using the life and work of Martin Luther King as inspiration.

Minister and activist Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (1929-1968) was a pioneering leader in the American Civil Rights Movement. He advocated using nonviolence and civil disobedience as tools for empowering African-Americans. Dr. King continues to be an inspiration for all minority groups seeking equality and respect.

Acclaimed poet and essayist Mahogany Browne hosts an evening filled with award-winning spoken word artists known for their fierce delivery and ability to move the crowd.
