Experience a plaid-tastic concert as the band Polkamaniacs takes polka to new heights (or maybe depths) by adding elements of rockabilly, country and even punk.
Polka is a type of European dance music that originated in 19th century Bohemia. The term “polka” probably comes from the Czech word for “half”, referring to the short half-steps featured in the dance.
No one can resist the wild fun of the post-polka madness that is Polkamaniacs.
Admission is free. Presented as part of the Three Rivers Arts Festival, a celebration of the arts in Pittsburgh since 1960. The festival is a production of the nonprofit Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
