The band Eleanor Walrus headlines an exciting night of music.
Bringing together a shared appreciation of various musical styles, the local quartet Eleanor Walrus is a special kind of Beatles cover band.
The Beatles (1960-1970) were one of the most artistically and commercially successful bands in the history of music, helping to define the sound of 60s pop-rock. In the spirit of the Beatles experimental approach, Eleanor Walrus changes some of the arrangements and instrumentation, adds some extra solos, extends certain songs into improvised jams, and creatively incorporates different sounds and effects.
The band’s name, Eleanor Walrus, is a fun juxtaposing two famous Beatles elements: the band’s popular 1966 song “Eleanor Rigby” and the 1967 song “I am the Walrus.”
Other acts appearing include Fungus, The Cause and Sun Champs, among others.
