Inspired by the popular 2023 television miniseries “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story,” this special program celebrates the real monarch.
Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (1744-1818) was Queen of England upon her 1761 marriage to King George III (1738-1820). She was a patron of the arts and supporter of many good causes that included a London hospital. The miniseries reimagines the character by casting an actress of African ancestry.
Queen Charlotte’s Courage, a white rum made especially for Fort Ligonier by the award-winning Wigle Whiskey, will also be available.
