America’s biggest and best brass band kicks off its 40th season with an evening of hits from the 1940s.
Founded in 1981, the River City Brass (RCB) builds upon the long-standing tradition of brass bands popularized in Great Britain and the United States. RCB features 25 brass players and 3 percussionists
James Gourlay and the band will come out swinging with tunes from Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, Duke Ellington, Billy Strayhorn and Benny Goodman. You might just want to jump up and jitterbug when you hear our wild big-band sound.
This is an “all-ages” concert.
