Ruckus is a shapeshifting, collaborative baroque ensemble with a visceral and playful approach to early music.

The phrase “early music” generally refers to compositions and styles that originated in Europe after 500BCE and formed the basis what is now called Western classical music.

Based in New York City, te ensemble aims to fuse the early-music movement’s questing, creative spirit with the grit, groove and jangle of American roots music.

This is an “all-ages” concert.
