Once of the most beloved holiday stories leaps off the TV screen and into the real world for this stage adaptation.

First broadcast on NBC in 1964, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” is a stop-motion animated television special inspired by a 1949 holiday song written by composer Johnny Marks (1909-1985). Noted actor/singer Burl Ives (1909-1995) narrated the tale about an unpopular reindeer dismissed by his peers. But that difference — a glowing, red nose — proves an asset one Christmas when Santa needs help navigating a major snowstorm.

This is an adventure that teaches us that what makes you different can be what makes you special. Don’t miss a wonderful holiday fable that speaks to the misfit in all of us.
