Pittsburgh based musicians Bryon Gill, Mark Dottle, Bob Schaum and Greg Mussitsch are Sawyer — a tribute to the classic progressive rock band Rush.
The Canadian rock band Rush (1968-2018) was known for its musicianship, complex compositions and eclectic lyrical motifs drawing heavily on science fiction, fantasy and philosophy. The band performed for decades until drummer Neil Peart (1952-2020) was forced to retire due to health issue that included brain cancer.
With an emphasis on the early work of Rush, Sawyer creates an experience that will drive longtime fans wild and bring those just discovering this music into the fold.
