With potions and poisons and daggers and dueling and drinking and slurring and wobbling and drooling this romp brings new life to an old play: “Romeo & Juliet.”
“Romeo and Juliet” is the quintessential tale of star-crossed lovers that dates to antiquity which has been iconized in this play by William Shakespeare (1564-1616). His poetic play is a brilliant mixture of comedy and drama. It chronicles the doomed romance between teens Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, each of whom is a member of a feuding noble house. The couple eventually takes drastic measures after their respective families oppose their relationship.
Shit-Faced Shakespeare is an unorthodox troupe that seeks to introduce a new generation of theatre-goers to the works of the Bard by reviving the raucous, interactive and vibrant nature of his era’s theatre with a very modern twist (and keeping the show to under an hour).
Warning: Sh**tfaced Shakespeare is not appropriate for anyone who does not like a string of profanity and a nip-slip or two. Must be 18+ years old to attend.
