Memphis quartet Southern Avenue combines the gifts of a prodigiously talented set of young musicians to craft an effortlessly organic fusion of soul and rhythm & blues. The result is a combustible chemistry, with the emotion-charged energy.
The band takes its name from a street in Memphis running from the eastern part of the city to a neighborhood often called “Soulsville,” because it was the original home of the legendary Stax Records label.
