This exciting statewide event features competition in alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
The Special Olympics is the world’s largest sports organization for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Philanthropist and social activist Eunice Kennedy Shriver (1921-2009) began what is now the Special Olympics as a summer day camp in 1962. It has since evolved into the international celebration it is today.
Spectators are welcome to visit any of the competition venues and cheer on the athletes.
