Come to the center to celebrate what would be August Wilson’s 75th birthday year.
The August Wilson Center For African American Culture is named in honor of Pulitzer Prize winning Pittsburgh playwright August Wilson (1945-2005), whose plays depict the comic and tragic aspects of the African-American experience.
This incredible evening will also feature the 50th Anniversary performance of Philadanco!, one of America’s premier African American dance ensembles and the dynamic trio, The String Queens.
Proceeds benefit the center.
