Japanese American trumpeter Takuya Karoda is a forward-thinking musician who has developed a unique hybrid sound, blending soulful jazz, funk, post-bop, fusion and hip-hop music.
This free, outdoor concert is being staged at the intersection of Stanwix Street and Fort Duquesne Boulevard. Presented as part of the Three Rivers Arts Festival, a 10-day celebration of visual and performing arts produced by the nonprofit Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and primarily sponsored by local financial firm Dollar Bank.
