Fronted by singer, songwriter and author Colin Meloy, the Oregon band The Decemberists find inspiration in historical events and legends to craft their distinctive style of folk-rock music using everything from the electric guitar to the accordion.
The band’s name refers to a famous protest by the Russian military in 1825 to the assumption of Nicholas I (1796-1855) to the throne, a man who did not support the more progressive ideals of his brother and predecessor Alexander I (1777-1825).
This is an “all-ages” concert.
