Not actually related, the trio calling themselves the Doobie Brothers — singer/songwriter Patrick Simmons, drummer John Hartman and singer/songwriter John McFee — performs some of the slick, soul-inflected pop tunes that fans have loved for more than 50 years.
The band’s name was inspired by a common 1970’s slang term for a marijuana cigarette, or “doobie.” Their songs showcase the trio’s impressive vocal harmony and reflect a laid-back California lifestyle.
This is an “all ages” concert.
