Featuring two talented cousins — vocalist Mario Cuomo and guitarist Dominic Corso — the quintet The Orwells combines their raw youth with rasping melodies to create a punk-rock sound delivered in a frenetic live performance.
All five members went to the same suburban Chicago high school. The band’s name was inspired by that of English author George Orwell (1903-1950), who is best known for the 1949 novel Nineteen Eighty-Four.
