Professional chef — and a member of the Oglata — Sean Sherman discusses his mission to completely​ redefine North American cuisine through the understanding​ and utilization of indigenous food knowledge.​

The Oglala is a subgroup of the Lakota tribe, a native people of what is now the U.S. state of South Dakota. The majority of Oglata live on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation at the southwest corner of South Dakota.

Presented in partnership with the Westmoreland Museum of American Art.
