As 2023 marks the 42nd anniversary of the first official report on HIV/AIDS, this event will honor those lost to HIV/AIDS while celebrating the advancements in prevention and treatment that can end the epidemic.

The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and its subsequent acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) compromise the body’s natural immune syndrome making it vulnerable to a wide range of diseases. HIV/AIDS is spread through the exchange of bodily fluids such as blood transfusions, the sharing of intravenous needles and sexual activity. The first major groups of people to hit hard by the pandemic were gay and bisexual men.

The event will feature local disc jockeys, performers, a vogue dance battle, free HIV testing and a health fair. Presented by Aids Free Pittsburgh & True T Pittsburgh as part of Pittsburgh Pride Revolution.
