Award winning producer/director Keri Pickett rushes to complete a personal mission in this 2026 documentary film about her uncle, Roy Blakey (pictured).
Professional figure skater-turned-photographer Roy Blakey (1930-2024) captured unforgettable images of stars like Shirley MacLaine and Tommy Tune as well as male nudes. He also collected remarkable ephemera from the skating and theater worlds.
“Uncle Roy” chronicles Keri’s efforts to preserve Roy’s legacy as the man faces increasing dementia during his final months.
Presented as part of Reel Q, which has been amplifying LGBTQ+ stories through film since 1982.
