The community will choose any literary publication by James Baldwin that will be read out loud to the listening audience for 3 minutes.

American writer and civil rights activist James Baldwin (1924-1987) garnered acclaim for his essays, novels, plays, and poems.

The United Black Book Clubs of Pittsburgh (UBBCP) is an association of librarians, readers and book clubs in the City of Pittsburgh. Through a united effort, UBBCP was formed to promote literary activities and events, to provide community outreach programs, and to spread the love of reading throughout the community.

Each reader will explain the context of the relevant work. Light refreshments will be served.
