Surreal, wondrous and massively creative, the artists of MOMIX perform a collection of the most iconic pieces from the company’s illustrious repertoire.
MOMIX is a dance company founded in 1981 and is led by choreographer Moses Pendleton. The company presents works that combine acrobatics, dance, gymnastics, mime, props and film in a theatrical setting. MOMIX is named after a solo, “Momix,” that Pendleton created for the 1980 Winter Olympics in Moscow, which derives its name from a milk supplement fed to veal calves.
Presented by the Pittsburgh Dance Council, a unit of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
